My opening painting, Winter Ice, was chosen because we missed the big snow again and I just felt like a winter scene.  Most of us make New Year’s Resolutions but do we make a healthy resolution. After not being able to exercise for a year and eating the wrong foods, I started a new healthy lifestyle of eating last summer which continued into October and December of 2015. I ate fresh fruits, salads and green vegetables with some fish. I didn’t eat boxed food and I lost 12 lbs. I looked for a healthy protein shake and found exactly what I wanted with Arbonne. I liked the healthy living products so much I became a consultant. I did either the chocolate or vanilla protein shake daily.

The shakes are made from delicious, nutritious perfectly balanced chocolate or vanilla shake mixes. Provides 20 grams of vegan protein, plus more than 20 essential vitamins and minerals per serving.   Although I am not vegan, I am mostly vegetarian with some fish. However, my daughter and 2 of my granddaughters are vegan, so having vegan products became very important. I also liked it because there are no by-products and the whey products never worked well for me.

I had either a healthy lunch or dinner by staying on my fresh foods and used the shakes for breakfast and the second meal. If I used the shake only once in a day, then I had oatmeal with fruit for breakfast. I lost another 8 lbs and felt healthier and more energetic. In December I ate out a few too many times and gained 4 lbs back but developed the need for sugar again which is my main downfall. I am now working on detoxing again.
