Next Steps In My Wellness Journey

Dreams, Plans & New Directions

I like the fact that I am a mindful traveler. In The Way of the Traveler, Joseph Dispenza states,  Travel transforms us fundamentally  as it moves us literally from one place (the old) to another (the new). When we have learned the lessons of that duck eggs_4654place, travel takes  us once again to the next level of consciousness. Here again new insights about ourselves await. As I start my  search, it is also a figurative search of another higher level of consciousness.  In this way all travel has a spiritual character.  On every trip we have the opportunity to expand our awareness especially if it is undertaken with mindfulness. I have or still am  undergoing the first part of the journey in imagining how it might be, dreaming the journey. The next step will be preparation, deciding what is to be taken and what is to mamaDuck_4687be left behind. The third phase will involve the journey. After that is the homecoming and the recounting of the journey. So I have been called to travel this new wellness path.  As I start my travels it looks like I will have a traveling companion for the next couple of months starting her journey. Mama Mallard has decided to make my yard her nesting area among my three dogs. Life is truly an adventure and we must live mindfully in each day. Continue Reading

Wellness Conferences & Vacations

My Time at the Arbonne GTC 2016 Conference

IMG_4418Last week, as an Arbonne Independent Consultant, I went to  the Arbonne Conference in Vegas and combined health and wellness as an Arbonne independent consultant with a vacation in Vegas-baby! We are becoming increasingly more health conscious and we are looking for products to help us look and feel our best at every age. According to Arbonne, “The idea to provide skincare products unparalleled in quality and effectiveness developed in Switzerland in 1975, when one man, Petter Mørck, together with a group of leading biochemists, biologists and herbalists, fulfilled his vision and founded Arbonne.” Continue Reading

Intellectual Wellness

Are you a lifelong learner? Do you like to challenge your mind with intellectual and creative pursuits? I do and I am definitely a lifelong learner. We often think that when we graduate from school at whatever level that learning is over and we don’t have to do any more. But being able to flex and open your mind is healthy and keeps you well. This week we will investigate the Intellectual Dimension of the Wellness Wheel by Bill Hettler and find some fun adventures. Continue Reading

Getting Back to me

It is very cold today in Ohio, but luckily I am south of all the snow. Thinking of the hydrangeas reminds me of the summer and warmth of the day when I painted them on my deck. I can even smell them if I close my eyes and think hard enough. We can talk about wellness with no problem when everything goes right, but what do we do when things don’t go right and problems occur. This week is a really good week for me because I started to paint again. In September of 2014 I was in a car accident and it was life altering. Continue Reading
